Myeongdong Street, Halal in the Heart of Seoul

Category: Travel Spots

Myeongdong is Seoul's most iconic shopping and food district, but what surprised me most was discovering how Muslim-friendly it has become. Tucked right along the bustling main street, Mari Meokja Halal stood proudly with its green signage and the Malaysian flag visible through the window — a warm, familiar sight for Muslim travellers far from home. The energy here is electric. Giant K-pop billboards loom above halal eateries, street food carts line the pavements, and people from every corner of the world weave through the crowds. Myeongdong is proof that Seoul embraces all its visitors — no matter where you're from or what you eat.
